Phosphating

Very thin, passivating, adhesion-promoting, fine-crystalline protective layer that is created by treatment with phosphoric-acid solution. This process follows degreasing baths and is finished with deionized water baths. This process plays a significant role because traces of soluble salts cause blistering.
