Light fastness

Resistance of white and colored pigments to light/UV rays. Due to light/UV rays, pigments may fade (see fading) or darken. In addition, lacquer colors suffer from yellowing and deterioration of binding agents. Pigments have a high degree of light fastness. However, absolute color constant lacquers do not exist.
